The humanitarian crisis in Gaza is beyond catastrophic—hospitals are overwhelmed, food and water are scarce, and millions have been displaced multiple times. The latest evacuation orders forced thousands to flee on foot to Muwasi, a sprawling wasteland of makeshift tents.
Israel’s government, emboldened by U.S. President Donald Trump’s backing, has now approved a new directorate to promote the "voluntary departure" of Palestinians—a move that many human rights organizations warn amounts to forced displacement. The goal? Depopulate Gaza and rebuild it for others. This is no longer just a war; it is an existential threat to Palestinian identity and sovereignty.
A Ceasefire in Tatters, A Future in Ruins
The temporary ceasefire earlier this year offered a fleeting moment of relief, only to be shattered by Israel’s latest bombardment. The ceasefire was meant to facilitate hostage exchanges and allow humanitarian aid, but instead, Israel cut off supplies and resumed its attacks.
