In a shocking turn of events in Kissimmee, Florida, a pizza delivery dispute escalated into a brutal attack, leaving a pregnant woman hospitalized. The alleged attacker, 22-year-old Brianna Alvelo, now faces multiple charges, including attempted murder, kidnapping, and aggravated assault.
How It All Started
The incident began innocently enough on Monday night when the victim, her boyfriend, and her 5-year-old daughter were celebrating a birthday at the Riviera Motel. They ordered food from a local Marco’s Pizza, totaling $33.10. The victim tried to pay with a $50 bill but was told by Alvelo that no change could be provided. After some back and forth, she eventually paid with smaller bills and left a $2 tip.
Alvelo reportedly rolled her eyes at the tip and left without saying a word. That seemed to be the end of it—until it wasn’t.
The Attack
Later that night, while the victim’s boyfriend and daughter were asleep, Alvelo returned to the motel with a male accomplice armed with a firearm. They forced their way into the room, pointing the gun at the victim and her young daughter. The accomplice then locked the boyfriend in the bathroom and destroyed his phone while Alvelo rummaged through the room.
Things took a violent turn when Alvelo, armed with a knife, attacked the victim. She stabbed her 14 times before the male accomplice shouted that it was time to leave. The victim later told investigators she believed Alvelo was trying to kill her.
The Aftermath
The victim, who underwent surgery for a punctured lung, discovered at the hospital that she was a few weeks pregnant. Despite the severity of her injuries, she is currently in stable condition.
Authorities are still searching for Alvelo’s accomplice, urging anyone with information to contact Crimeline at 800-423-8477.
Marco’s Pizza Responds
In response to the incident, a Marco’s Pizza spokesperson expressed their condolences, stating, “We are deeply saddened by this tragic event. The safety and well-being of our customers and team members are always our top priority, and we are cooperating fully with local authorities.”
What Happens Next?
Alvelo is being held in Osceola County Jail without bond as investigators continue to piece together the details of this shocking crime. Meanwhile, the hunt for her accomplice continues.
This disturbing case serves as a grim reminder of how seemingly small disputes can spiral into unimaginable violence. Authorities are determined to bring all involved to justice, ensuring the safety of the community.
